Did you know?

Mussels are bivalve marine mollusks that are heavily utilized as a food source for humans. They are filter feeders that draw in the surrounding water and extract plankton to eat. Mussels can filter around 10 gallons of water a day, helping clean the water around them, which supports healthy ecosystems. Unfortunately, mussel populations are quite susceptible to marine pollution and invasive species.

5% of the sale donated to Gulf of Maine Research Institute to help protect marine resources and the future of sustainable seafood in the Gulf of Maine.
